Your interest in SFS
I am a postdoctoral academic researcher passionate about increasing inclusion and access in academic science. As a first generation American and raised in a low-income, single parent household, I know personally that academia can act jointly as an enriching home and an exclusive barrier. I am increasingly looking for alternate avenues to use my labor towards shifting academic institutions to truly serve the most minoritized of our communities. I'm excited by what I've read about SFS and interested to learn more about how I might get involved.
