Personal Introduction
I am a neuroscientist that completed my PHD at Oregon Health & Science University and then began a postdoc position at Weill Cornell Medicine in 2020. Throughout my career, I have been deeply invested about improving the environment for trainees and to support individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to not only imagine themselves in a scientific research career but also obtain the skills and experiences needed to succeed. This is demonstrated by my numerous leadership positions working in student-led organizations as well as with faculty and administrative staff. Currently, I am transitioning away from bench science after experiencing many of the challenges Solving for Science lists in its mission statement. I look forward to learning more about Solving for Science!
