National University of Natural Medicine
I grew up in a small town in southern Minnesota. My mom was a biology teacher which gave me access and privilege of doing science which was unusual for kids in towns of 2000 people. When I was in graduate school, I developed an outreach program to bring immunology to local high schools. I think we all need to be better about communicating science to non-scientists if we're ever going to solve the anti-science craze that has happened with COVID.
