Personal Introduction
I have been in my current position as a Postdoctoral Associate in Radiation Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine, USA, for 4 years, following the completion of my PhD degree in tumor immunology at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a cellular and molecular biologist with a strong background in tumor immunology research, my research goal is to understand the mechanisms that modulate tumor immunogenicity, with the ultimate aim of identifying new targets for immunotherapeutic strategies. In the future, I aspire to establish my own lab focused on studying the immunometabolism of brain tumors and brain metastasis. My goal is to identify new targets that can enhance the response to current treatments such as radiotherapy and immunotherapy. As a future lab head, I am keen on cultivating a positive lab culture that prioritizes mental health and inclusion, and I aspire to be an empathic mentor for future scientists. For these reasons, I am eager to be a part of this community.
