Personal Introduction
Pajau Vangay received her Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the University of Minnesota, where her research focused on the impact of migration on the human gut microbiome and obesity development in refugee communities. After completing the California Council on Science and Technology Science and Technology Policy Fellowship program, she went on to join the National Microbiome Data Collaborative based at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where she managed scientific communities focused on creating culture change toward more open science and data stewardship. Currently, she is the Sr. Director, Scientific Network at the Hypothesis Fund, a philanthropic organization focused on supporting early stage, innovative basic science research.
