I am an Associate Professor and Director of the center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) at the University of Virginia. My lab studies how the immune system responds to brain infection. I am also the director of an NIH T32 program in neuroimmunology that supports pre-doctoral fellows. I am deeply committed to making scientific research better on several fronts. I'd like to see our environments become more inclusive, collaborative, and collegial for everyone.
