Dear Community,
Be on the lookout for manuscript intake email requests from Maureen@SolvingFor.org, because…
The Discovery Stack Pilot is within weeks of reaching out to our first round of Authors!
As such, we wanted to make sure that You - our community - has everything at your fingertips when browsing thru our webpages, either in making a decision on participation, refreshing yourself on the workflow, or helping us spread the word!
Our new webpages will continue to reflect the current stage of the project throughout its run! Here’s the run-down to help you navigate and help us orient your colleagues!
- The Discovery Stack Pilot Home page contains the overview of the project: our WHY and HOW.
- Details on the responsibilities and workflows of each participant role are described in the Participants Guide, including bulleted text descriptions, video guides, and links to rubrics and other technical materials, to ensure that you have everything you need to make informed decisions before AND during the study.
- The Discovery Stack Pilot News page will contain Announcements, Upcoming Events, and Progress Reports on the project. Check back here often to keep up with the current state of the project, milestone updates, and plan ahead to catch us at in-person conferences or Zoom meetings!
- An updated Discovery Stack Pilot Team page will be coming soon! This page will contain information on our Scientific Advisory Board members, our Participants (Beta-testers of the DSP model), as well as individuals and teams who have contributed to each evolution of the project. Let’s acknowledge and celebrate the change-makers who make this all happen!
As a community-driven project, the Discovery Stack Pilot needs your input at every stage to build a better future platform for Peer Review & Publishing - Discovery Stack / Discovery Curator. To make this process as easy as possible, we have built in Suggestion Boxes throughout each page so you can submit your feedback to us. Any input, big or small, will all help us build a better future for the Scientific Community.
We will also be asking for your contributions in more direct ways to help out. And these will be posted in the Announcements section of the DSP - News page.
At present, we are
- Recruiting members for our Scientific Advisory Board: cancer biology and immunology faculty with capacity to be more involved in the development of the Pilot and beyond.
- Looking for fun ideas to keep developing for our DSP Raffle prize for participants!
- Making another splash at CICON24! If you are attending the Eighth International Cancer lmmunotherapy Conference (CICON24) from September 8-11, 2024, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD (minutes from Washington, DC), come visit our Exhibit!
Check out the DSP - News page for specifics on each item!
As always, thank you for reading, and we hope to be collaborating with you very soon!
All the best,
Caitlin, Maureen, & the DSP team
