Given the importance of the hypothes.is application to the Discovery Stack process and its novelty to most users, a brief 15-30 minute meeting will be necessary to ensure proper setup and prevent comments from accidentally being made public.

Enrollment Eligibility Criteria
- Manuscript must be uploaded to a preprint server such as BioRxiv or Research Square.
- Manuscript must be submitted to traditional journal for review.
- Manuscripts must be in cancer or immunology

- Hypothes.is is a free application that allows you to annotate online articles, PDFs, and webpages.
- While annotations can be public, for the Discovery Stack Pilot study, we will NOT be making the annotations public while the study is ongoing or may affect manuscript outcome at traditional journals
To install hypothes.is:
- Click here to sign up for a free hypothes.is account. **If you would like the option to remain anonymous, choose a username that does not reveal your identity when setting up your hypothes.is account.
- Activate your account by clicking the link in the email from hypothes.is.
- Add Hypothesis to your internet browser.
- For Chrome, add the extension with this link:
- You can pin the extension to your toolbar by clicking the puzzle piece, and then the pin icon next to the hypothes.is extension.
- For Safari or other browsers: Go to the hypothes.is start page: and drag the bookmarklet to the bookmark bar.

For Discovery Stack Pilot participants, please ensure that your annotations are created in the appropriate PRIVATE hypothes.is group associated with the manuscript.
All Discovery Stack Pilot private groups will have the “DSP” prefix followed by manuscript ID.
