A free California premiere screening of Marilyn Ness’s documentary, followed by a panel on where science goes from here.

Decades of public investment in research gave us vaccines, the internet and countless discoveries we now take for granted. The Endless Frontier asks what happens to that progress when support for science is in question, and what each of us can do about it.
We’re hosting a California screening of Marilyn Ness’s documentary at UCSF’s Cole Hall. The 80-minute film is followed by a 40-minute panel on where science goes from here, bringing together voices from philanthropy, university administration, science and policy, moderated by our Executive Director Brooke Runnette.
Doors open with light snacks, then the film and the panel. Afterward, stay for a short happy hour to meet the scientists, students and supporters who care about the future of research. The event is free, and seating is limited.
The screening falls just before the November 3 election. Whatever your views, it’s a moment to learn how research is funded and to make your voice heard.
